I installed this in my shed, replacing two 4 ft fluorescent tubes. The large size makes it a little difficult to install by oneself. But with a little planning and a couple ladders, it wasn't too difficult. The casing is very thin metal, so the whole thing flexes very easily until it is screwed in place.But it is definitely bright - I hope it lasts.
I put up 15 of these on 20 foot ceilings in a warehouse to replace old fluorescent fixtures. The old fluorescent fixtures were much wider and allowed for plenty of space to run the romex inside the fixtures. These are not nearly as spacious however it can be done with a touch of work. Each end cap has a 1/2 inch knock out to connect conduit to. The light cover comes off and exposes the LEDs. The LEDs come out in 2 sections. I connected the conduit connector and pulled the romex on the ground. I didn’t need the ground wire so I clipped it. I shortened the hot and neutral and attached the romex with wire nuts. Put the LEDs back in place. Put the plastic cover back on. I flush mounted these with the mounting hardware. I pulled the romex into a newly mounted junction box. Make the connections with the hot and neutral. Cover the junction box and on to the next.
I have only had these lights for a few weeks, so I can't speak for their longevity. I can say that they were easy to install, work great and are very bright. If they last as long as the seller claims, I'll be very happy with them.
These are 8’ long. When delivered one if the lights was almost bent in half. Packaging not good. Disappointed since I was waiting for these to get installed. Sent them back bought what I needed with no damage locally
